Duncan Croll - sad news

19 Dec 2016

It is with great sadness that the club must report the death of former player, club official and umpire Duncan Croll. Duncan had been battling cancer.

Duncan joined the club in the early 90's and proved to be a formidable player on the field and a real gentlemen off it. He was a very effective swing bowler and a useful lower order bat.

As a club official, he was never afraid to express his views in a clear and forthright manner and we relied on him for his sage advice. When his playing days ended Duncan became an umpire and was probably one of the most respected officials in the league.

He will be sadly missed and our thoughts are with his family and friends.
