This Sunday, we will be supporting a local community event up at our ground on Southborough Common.
We will be running a drinks stall, selling soft drinks and some alcoholic beverages, and need some help throughout the day to staff this so if you can help, please let me know and I'll add you to the rota.
As there will be many people from the community, it is an opportunity to reach out and potentially find some budding cricketers, so we will also be running a little cricket based activity, using the roll on net and stumps and possibly even the speed gun (if we can get it working). Again, we will need some volunteers to run this so please get in touch. This is perfect for our younger members who can use this as volunteering hours for their Young Leaders in Cricket and/or Duke of Edinburgh courses.
Finally, if you are about but unable to help out, please still come along and support the day. There will be various stalls from local businesses as well as activities, workshops and facepainting for children and there will also be lots of food on offer.
